Mental and Physical Health Benefits of Yoga

Yoga practice has proven effective in boosting memory and improving concentration and also clears the mind and calms the senses. You become aware of the sacred connection between the body and the mind, and as you strengthen one, you strengthen the other. As yoga forces you to focus on your mind, body, and soul, the overall benefits to your body are vast. When practiced regularly in the morning, afternoon or evening, there are so many mental, emotional, and physical benefits of yoga. Hatha and restorative yoga are very relaxing, which can calm the nervous system and teach you techniques for calming your body and mind. Anyone can practice yoga and instantly feel the benefits, both physical and mental, but also emotional and spiritual.

Both years of yoga practice and the number of minutes of practice per week were associated with better mindful eating scores. Many people practice yoga supposedly to lower their stress and relax, and there is actually scientific evidence to support it. By reducing stress levels, yoga can be a preventative measure for people who are not unwell but are at risk of developing poor mental health. As if the feeling of stress is not bad enough, chronic stress wreaks havoc on health in a number of ways. When you relieve your pain, your mood improves, you are more inclined to be active, and you do not need as much medication. Research at the West Virginia University School of Medicine found that after 3 months of yoga practice, 88% of people stopped or reduced taking pain medication and 70% of them reported less lower-back pain.

Learning to perform and regularly practicing simple meditation techniques will allow you to become more in tune with your body and be more aware of your surroundings as well. By inhaling and exhaling in an even way, a person is mindful of their body and its movements. Mindfulness provides the tools needed to step back from intense negative emotions, identify them, and accept them instead of fighting them. Whether you are a meditation novice or are practiced at meditation, you should be able to find one that is right for you. You might find yourself becoming more mindful, which will inevitably lead to a budding interest in meditation as well. Once you choose a guided meditation script for your child, you may want to yourself to find the rhythm prior to reading it aloud to your child.

Yoga exercises can help increase the range of motion in joints and help protect muscles from being injured during sports and athletic activities. Yoga involves gentle, guided stretching, which can help seniors develop greater flexibility and improve their range of motion. Most poses have several variations, from basic to advanced, and modifications for a wide range of injuries. Although yoga can certainly be enjoyed as simply a method of working up a sweat, improving your posture and flexibility, and toning up your muscles, it has the potential to be so much more if you allow it to. You'll have more strength, more balance, and more flexibility, which all translates to better performance. Over time and with the proper classes, seniors can improve their flexibility and balance, enhance their strength and boost their mood.

Yoga can help get rid of anxiety and depression by lowering your blood pressure and heart rate and improving your respiration. Yoga helps to reduce blood pressure by slowing down your body and mind and increasing consistent, healthy blood flow. Yoga can help to reduce blood pressure, heart rate, and improve circulation to help remove toxic wastes from the body. Because of the circulation of the blood throughout the body, more oxygen and nutrients can flow to the head. With its ability to lower blood pressure and heart rate as well as improve respiration, yoga provides you with the means to deal with and resolve anxiety and depression without resorting to expensive medications. Yoga helps to get your blood flowing and deep breathing exercises can increase the amount of oxygen delivered to your cells, which causes them to function better.

People of advanced age can use yoga techniques to improve the flexibility of their joints. You become more confident in who you are and more rooted in your sense of self and your centre, developing a healthy and balanced ego. Whether you believe in a higher sense of self, a divine energy in the world, or the soul, you can probably experience the benefits of yoga regardless. You would likely be more friendly, more open, smile more often and get more equanimity and compassion. Yoga and Pilates have many similar benefits, though their philosophies and founding principles are very different. Never force yourself into a pose, and do not feel bad about trying different teachers and style.

Entrepreneurship Development and Job Creation

You will have a good understanding of the business ecosystem and a knowledge of successful business models. Altucher focuses on helping you improve your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing while finding your way towards uncovering potential business opportunities you will be uniquely qualified to pursue. Regulations around starting and sustaining businesses can often be seen as too slow, complicated, or confusing. Entrepreneurship and small business are typically used synonymously, interchangeably and presented as one and the same. As with a good comedian, if you want to be an effective persuader, you need to master your timing perfectly. The Barefoot Executive walks new business owners through the steps of planning, starting and operating a small business.

New markets add wealth to the economy when entrepreneurs invest their own money to develop innovative products and services. In the absence of local entrepreneurs for a society, enterprises are organized by the entrepreneurs coming from outside. Because of their importance in the modern economy, entrepreneurs should be at the heart of microeconomics. Within the last decade more and more entrepreneurs are focusing their work on resolving social problems. During the last decade, Gallup has focused intently on understanding the psychological roots of entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurs in the public and private sectors help to remove regional disparities in economic development.

Entrepreneurs need assistance in creating solid business plans and with accessing and developing managerial talent. For the potential entrepreneur the first task is to identify, explore and then select an attractive business opportunity. The entrepreneur may adopt an innovation developed by others, re-invent or modify it, or develop an innovation not known earlier, to suit his/her own particular purpose. The historical and contemporary records reveal long and robust history of family-owned business in Nigeria. Having set long-term aims of the business, there is a need to communicate them to the stakeholders. The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines an entrepreneur as one who organizes, manages and assumes the risk of a business or enterprise.

An improving gross domestic product is an important goal for economic development because it means that each individual is becoming more productive and earning more money. In a rural-urban continuum, the young entrepreneurs may be spread over rural, sub-urban and urban areas. Entrepreneurs setting up new businesses and industrial units help with regional development by locating in less developed and backward areas. The industrialisation of a country and its pace of economic development depend on the entrepreneurs. The entrepreneural pursuit is challenging and creative and can harness the extra vigour that is abundantly available with the educated youth.

Unemployment in Nigeria has affected the youth and the economic development of the country from a broad spectrum of socio-economic perspective. Entrepreneurship development is adjudged to provide meaningful promises of sustainable economic growth and development of a country. The wheel of development of any country lies on the shoulders of how productive and creative the youths are. The role of entrepreneurship in the curbing of unemployment, unstable economic growth and development cannot be emphasized. Through well planned and executed entrepreneurship education, the Nigerian youths well learn to be happy and fulfilled persons.

Entrepreneurship development should be about helping people start and grow dynamic businesses that provide high value added. The world needs to create over a billion new jobs by 2030 to accommodate existing and future unemployed youth. Development in all its dimensions must be inclusive of all people, everywhere, and should be built through the participation of everyone, especially the most vulnerable and marginalised. The age-long Western education in Nigeria, only breed graduates for white-collar jobs and does not create and develop jobs. Whilst finding a lifelong job is becoming more difficult, the good news is that it has never been easier to become self employed or to set up a business.

You will gain a good knowledge of the development process and the planning process involved in the launch of a new product. You do not have to build something innovative or unique, you just need to build something that lasts. Stakeholder Management is the process by which the key stakeholders are identified and their support can be sought the best. Economic development is one of the technology-based economic measures to move from one economic situation to another. The New Venture Challenge was established in 1996 and is widely recognized as one of the top accelerators in the country.

Business ideas creativity and innovation are the important conditions for developing entrepreneurship is the country. Strong oral and written English is essential, with a high standard of written English being particularly important. The focus on entrepreneurship is not surprising, given the role that it can play in tackling unemployment. Even for a large and advanced economy like the United States, foreign markets have a significant role.

Successful entrepreneurship involves much more than just having a great idea or creating a new business venture. Whether you are just starting out with an idea or looking to grow your current company, entrepreneurship can be an exciting and rewarding journey. Any growing business will eventually want to get started with exports to expand their business to foreign markets. Every workshop is available on demand afterward, so you can consult them whenever you need.

Practical Issues in Helping People

Many medical problems can develop from being in the same position for hours on end. Whether you are interested in mental health services or you provide them, you have come to the right place. In some maternity units, you may see a psychiatrist or mental health nurse before you leave hospital, even if you are well. Mental health problems can cause severe debt, and severe debt can cause mental health problems. People have been turning to cannabis for its possible health benefits for a long, long time. You may be too unwell, or may have to be in hospital without your baby.

Sensory loss is not always just as simple as not being able to see so well any more. You should be familiar enough with your opening statement so that you do not have to read it. For if one experiment succeed, others will certainly be tried, and new developments will be made. You should adjust the language of your opening statement because it will be delivered orally, the judge or other decision maker will not be reading it. You do not have to give your name, you will never have to give a statement to police, or go to court. The license may not give you all of the permissions necessary for your intended use.

Everyone who has had a brain injury can be left with some changes in emotional reaction. The most effective causes to support are likely to be relatively large-scale, tractable, and neglected. Especially in your social life, you need to become the very thing you are trying to attract. The best approach is to try to avoid injury as much as possible in the first place. You'll have all the tools you need to take your business to the next level, in one place. Most people do not change significantly, so if you are making rapid changes to your life, the people you originally connected with might be the same people that hold you back.

Online support groups and anxiety counselling give you the opportunity to talk to people who understand you. The only reason a narcissistic boss wants to know about private information, is to see whether it can be used against the employee sooner or later. Cognitive and behavioural therapies are based on the way you think, and the way you behave. Regardless of their experiences, some people seem to struggle more than others with their self-esteem. Everyone has a different way of coping, and some people may take longer than others to come to terms with living alone. You may know someone else who has had to deal with difficult people, or you may have experienced dealing with them yourself.

Internet fraud is now a common criminal case and people who are victims feel at loss and in desperation in finding help. You may discover yourself replaying events surrounding the death and confronting memories, both good and bad. Once you have received the response, should you remain dissatisfied, you should proceed to making formal complaint. To do meaningful self-evaluation, you will need some goals towards which you can make clear, measurable progress. Jobs in which you can travel and help people around the world can be competitive, because the experience can be so rewarding. Being able to go back to work or live on their own can be a positive step in the right direction, and it does not have to cost an arm and a leg.

You often need foreign language skills or experience in the field for which you are applying. Living life more mindfully can help you to handle stress when it arises, and also experience life more fully. Whether one chooses to remain completely sober or use drugs in moderation, the potential to relapse seems continuously omnipresent. During your counselling experience, you should aim to build a trusting relationship with your counsellor so that you feel safe and confident discussing your worries. Once you have learnt more about the process and how talk therapy may help, you may feel ready to search for a counsellor in your area. When you have decided you are ready to find a counsellor, the next step is to research.

Recovery from an eating disorder does not always occur when you are with a therapist or in a treatment program. At the start of your treatment, you will meet your therapist and discuss why you are seeking CBT. The therapy looks to address any skewed ways of thinking that may be occurring and eventually aims to replace them with healthier, more positive thought patterns. During a CBT session, your therapist will help you understand any negative thought patterns you have. Whether you find the holiday season torturous or joyful, you may experience higher than normal urges to use your eating disorder behaviours. The approach is much less effective if one partner refuses to participate in treatment or the relationship is violent or abusive.

The Keto Diet

The Keto Diet

How Does the Keto Diet Work and How Long Should You Do It For?

The Keto diet has become one of the most popular diet plans in recent times. You’ll find hundreds of blogs and articles online discussing the benefits and science behind it.

With so many success stories out there, you may be thinking of trying this popular diet. However, before you decide whether or not to give it a try, it’s worth looking at how the Keto diet works and how long you should follow it.

What Is the Keto Diet?

Keto is short for ketogenic. The diet focuses on high fat and low carbs. It is said that a significant reduction in carbs puts the body into what is known as ketosis. This means the body becomes extremely efficient at burning off fat. It also transforms fat within the liver into ketones, which are said to provide energy to the brain.

The Keto diet is thought to improve insulin and blood sugar, while also presenting multiple health benefits. There are actually different types of the Keto diet you can follow, but most follow the standard diet plan.

How Does the Keto Diet Work?

So, how exactly does the Keto diet work? Well, as mentioned above, the foods you consume on the diet help to put the body into ketosis.

Ketosis is a natural process which occurs when there aren’t enough carbohydrates in the body to turn into energy. When there aren’t enough carbs, the body starts to use up its fat content for energy. While burning fat, it creates ketones which are what fuels the body.

The foods you’ll eat on the Keto diet provide less than 50g of carbohydrates each day. After limiting your carb intake this much, your body will start to experience ketosis within 3-4 days. The standard Keto diet requires around 75% of calories to be consumed via fat, 20% from protein and just 5% from carbohydrates.

Is It Safe?

The main question people have before trying this diet, is whether or not it’s safe. And while thousands of people successfully follow this diet plan, there are a few dangers you’ll need to familiarise yourself with.

For example, it’s not uncommon to develop flu-like symptoms when the body starts to enter ketosis. While it does tend to only last for a few days, these symptoms can be difficult to deal with, particularly the fatigue that comes with it.

Other common side effects of the diet include diarrhea, a decreased metabolism, and an increased risk of heart disease if it isn’t followed correctly. Generally speaking, however, it is safe to follow the Keto diet.

How Long Should You Follow It For?

While the Keto diet is largely safe, it should only be followed for a set period of time in full ketosis. So, it isn’t a diet you can add as a new lifestyle. Experts recommend following the Keto diet for no longer than a year. You’ll also need to keep an eye on kidney function throughout the diet.

However the principles of a low carb diet can be adopted as a lifestyle. Getting the body into ketosis is used to loose excess weight, and limiting carb intake without the need to remain in ketosis, as part of your eating lifestyle, is a way of maintaining your weight loss.

If you are looking for a short-term diet that’s going to help you to lose weight and get healthier, the Keto diet could prove beneficial, especially when followed by a low carb lifestyle after the Keto diet weight loss stage.

Remember you should refrain from full ketosis for long periods, but it is fine to put your body into ketosis for a month or two now and again to shift any unwanted weight gain, following a holiday or the festive season etc.

The Best Work to Outsource When Growing Your Business

The Best Work to Outsource When Growing Your Business

Many small business owners get nervous at the idea of letting go of certain tasks in their business and outsourcing them. The truth is that it’s really the only way to grow your business effectively. It’s impossible to do everything yourself, so it is a case of strategically choosing what to outsource.

There are a number of factors to consider:

* Things you don’t do well

* Things you don’t like doing

* Tasks you don’t have the skills for

* Things that eat up a lot of your time but don’t contribute directly to earning income

Here are seven suggestions for the best tasks to outsource.

1. Bookkeeping

Unless you are an accountant yourself, it is probably best to outsource this task to the professionals. Keep good records to make their job easier and keep costs down. Don’t hand them shoe boxes of paperwork a couple of days before your taxes are due.

2. Customer Service

Once you have been in business for a while, you should have a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) from customers. Outsource your customer service to one or more workers so you have good coverage. Consider using a ticketing portal to help keep everything organised.

3. Content Creation

If you are a slow writer, hire ghostwriters to help you keep your blog fresh, or to create information products like eBooks that you can sell to your target audience.

4. Updating Your Blog

Whether you write the content yourself or get help, the content will still need to be uploaded to your blog or website. This is an easy task for a virtual assistant or freelancer who knows WordPress or similar blogging software well.

5. Logos, Artwork and Images

Unless you are a professional artist who has mastered Photoshop, chances are you would be better off hiring a freelancer who already owns this rather expensive software and is skilled at using all of its impressive features.

People do judge a book by its cover, so if you are publishing eBooks or multimedia courses, take the time and money to find a good designer who can make your product look like a high-quality one worth buying.

6. Email Marketing

Email marketing is an essential tool for all successful businesses. You need to create offers, new lists, and a "funnel" to get subscribers. Once a person is on your email marketing list, you need to send them content and interesting promotional offers so they will buy from you regularly.

Email marketing isn’t difficult, but it can be time-consuming. Your lists need to hear from you on a regular basis and you need to track the success of what you are sending out, such as your holiday promotions.

An email marketing specialist can track your success, test different creatives, and more. They can also upload the content you wish to provide, and set up new promotions each time you wish to target another topic within your niche.

7. Social Media Marketing

Social media marketing is another essential chore for modern businesses which business owners just don’t have enough time or inclination for. It can be a fine art to marketing well on Facebook or LinkedIn. There are many freelancers skilled at certain networks who could help take your business to the next level.

Don't be afraid to let go of these tasks, unless you are already an expert on them. You'll end up with more time to do high-earning activities that no one else can do, as well as tasks that you enjoy.

How to Prepare for a Crisis (Even If It Never Happens)

How to Prepare for a Crisis (Even If It Never Happens)

More than likely, you may never have to deal with a crisis in your business. However, it’s always better to be prepared than having to deal with a crisis with no thought or idea of how to do it. It may seem like a negative to think about this before it happens, but you’ll be glad you did because it’ll make overcoming any crisis much easier and more likely.

Make a List of Potential Crises

For each business owner, this will be slightly different. If you have a home business, you may want to include any type of crisis that would affect your ability to do business, even if it’s not business related.

Create Response Templates for Each Issue

Now that you know the types of crisis that might affect your business, take the time to create a response template for each issue. You may be able to locate templates on MS Office via Word and Excel to help give you some ideas about it. Mainly you want to go through what to do for every single element of each crisis, from PR to physically fixing equipment. Whatever it takes.

Inventory of your Assets

If you don’t even know what you have, it’ll be hard to replace it if disaster strikes. Take pictures of your assets and create an inventory of everything it takes to run your business - from software to physical equipment like smartphones, laptops, and printers. Whatever you have you’ll want to note with a picture, a description, and a copy of the purchase receipt.

Keep All Stakeholders Informed

Know exactly what your plans are for communicating with your stakeholders. Whether they are investors, customers, or they work with you, know how you’ll keep the lines of communication open should a crisis occur.

Remember PR

Don’t forget that continuing to promote your business positively during a crisis is imperative in order to be able to overcome it with a business still intact. Don’t stop your usual promotions (unless you need to due to finances) when something happens.

Stay Transparent

Whether you’re talking to the press, your customers, or posting on social media about the crisis, be sure to always stay open, honest and transparent. Even the appearance of stonewalling can be a PR nightmare for a small business owner.

Create Backups of Everything

Whether it’s software, or data, or websites... whatever you use for your business needs to stay backed up. You’ll want to have redundant backups of everything so that if one method goes down, you’ll have the other.

Create a Vendor Response List

One document that is important is to know how to contact everyone who works with you, especially vendors. For example, do you know how to call your payment processor if you did not have access to your computer or your smartphone directly? Can you sign in from any computer from anywhere to get a list of your vendors, account information, and so forth so you can deal with it?

Give Power of Attorney to the Right People

What happens to your business and the people you work with if you are not available at all for whatever reason? Is there someone you can give POA to that can work for your business’s benefit if you’re unavailable due to the crisis?

Crisis preparation is key. Take the time to get the information together that you’d need if something happens. That way, you’re ready to take on the problem from day one instead of trying to invent a way at the last minute for dealing with it. Whether the crisis is one of PR or one of a natural disaster, with planning you can ensure you come through it with flying colours.

Intrinsic v Extrinsic Motivation

Intrinsic v Extrinsic Motivation

An intrinsic reward is often more effective than an extrinsic reward because the motivation comes from within the person. Although intrinsic motivation seems to be better than extrinsic motivation, there are times when extrinsic motivation acts like an intrinsic equivalent. Unlike intrinsic motivation, which arises from within the individual, extrinsic motivation is focused purely on outside rewards. The most basic distinction is between intrinsic motivation, which refers to doing something because it is inherently interesting or enjoyable, and extrinsic motivation, which refers to doing something because it leads to a separable outcome. When you imagine extrinsic motivation, you likely think of being motivated by some type of known, external reward, such as money or an award. Because intrinsically motivated behavior is not contingent upon any external reward or punishment and involves self-directed motivation, it is both stronger and longer lasting, especially in the face of challenges.

Learning to be satisfied with a job well done is an important part of growing up. Being good at what you do is obviously important too, but when your competition is also good, it is your people who make the difference. To become a great company, you have to act like a great company from the start, before it becomes one. The best alternative should be selected must be the best when evaluating it on the decision criteria. As the most important objective is to convey the most important message for to the reader. As the class goes on, little by little, you will be pushed forward in your knowledge.

A whole group class discussion gets all students in the class talking to one another in one group. The teacher may make a prediction for the students to respond to, or ask students to make predictions themselves. Teachers could consider systematically conferring with one or two students per lesson until all students are met with. The real art is when to encourage too much encouragement and students learn to work only for rewards and too much punishment students get discouraged and withdraw. Most educators are well versed in the techniques of providing extrinsic motivation to students, as it is the easiest to implement and most often produces immediate benefits. One first step is to listen to your students, get to know them, their interests, and their dreams.

Extrinsically motivated workers are motivated by incentives and external rewards and intrinsically motivated workers are simply self-motivated. In a professional life, having intrinsic motivation is more important because psychologically, it allows you to be more effective if you feel autonomous. Because intrinsic motivation is associated with better performance than controlled extrinsic motivation, the undermining of intrinsic motivation by extrinsic rewards is negative for organizational effectiveness. To keep people motivated, rewards must be increased over time, which can make external motivation programs very expensive. Rather than staying a victim, you become someone who knows what you are worth, scars and all. You can become good at what you do, the best even, without having to love every second of it.

Intrinsic motivation can be difficult to foster in students since it stems from individual desires that vary from person to person. Intrinsic motivation and identification/integration constitute autonomous motivation, whereas external and introjected regulation constitute controlled motivation. Identification regulation is when a person has identified with a task and adopts that regulation. Once you are competent, you will not necessarily be positive that you will succeed, but you will know that you can handle failure if it happens. Although collective behavior may emerge spontaneously in response to a unique situation, it is not entirely unpredictable. Achievement motivation is often present in the professional realm, whereas personal life preoccupations are often left neglected.

Goals you set to please others will not leave you feeling truly accomplished and happy. When you are motivated, your entire body is pumped with adrenaline to help you complete the goals that you have set for yourself, which results in increased energy levels. Even if the job is occasionally boring and routine, you can give it added meaning by showing how that particular job connects to a larger, more important whole. As you feel yourself getting healthier, you will want to continue to exercise and keep it up so you can avoid diseases and live a long and healthy life. The feeling of running outside gives you an energy boost and helps to clear your mind. 'Goal' goes along with you all through your life whereas 'aim' stops somewhere after it is realized.

Great Managers is a valuable course for all leaders or potential leaders in an organisation. With social media and the ease of communication, you may feel like you know your friend really well when actually you know them relatively little. When you want to start your business, you probably feel an inner motivation to do it. With online marketing, there is not a right and wrong strategy with regard to intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Extrinsic motivation has been found to be quite successful before, and as a result, is a hallmark of the corporate world. The more you understand what motivates your users, the stronger their relationship with your company will be.
